So this is a story all about how I decided at the start of November to see if I could make a comic for the S16CC and even though it's been a lot of work, it looked like I would have been able to crunch it out by Dec 11th, but then I decided to get sick (probably totally unrelated to my very good and well-balanced sleeping schedule) and I held out hope regardless but there is absolutely no way I'm finishing it now.
Whining aside, I'm currently wondering whether I should just release it in its unfinished state on the deadline, or just wait and finish it after the deadline. I didn't make it because I thought it was winner material anyway, I just wanted to make a simple oneshot comic already and got shockingly far compared to my previous "attempts" in the past.
I already sacrificed some things to make it to the deadline (very noticeable lack of proper backgrounds in most panels, for example) so now I feel like if I wait, I'm gonna get stuck in that polishing mind-trap of "oh now I may as well go back fix the rest" and never finish it at all.
I'm gonna sleep on it, but it is a damn shame regardless of what I end up doing. I really looked forward to finishing this, but I suppose the important thing is that I proved to myself that I can actually do it.
